Want to try Bodhi for the first time?
Our Welcome To The Tribe Offer is the best way to experience our energetic (and incredible!) RIDE classes.
Go on… what are you waiting for?! We can’t wait for your Bodhi & Ride journey to begin. Let’s RIDE!
When we RIDE, everything is possible. We push through doubts and insecurities. We workout faster and harder than ever before. We leave sweat dripping and endorphin filled.
When we RIDE, we work at high intensity for short periods of time, burning between 400 and 600 calories. We tone muscles, shed fat and increase our metabolism. More importantly, we connect.
We connect with our body, soul and mind. We connect with each other. When the doors close, lights dim and music fills the chamber, it’s magical. When we stop, close our eyes and take a deep breath, we set an intention for the ride ahead and come together as a tribe.
Let’s RIDE, TRIBE.
1. Arrive early
New RIDERS, you MUST arrive 20 minutes before class for your introduction to Bodhi & Ride. If you miss this, you will not be permitted to RIDE. Whether you’re a total pro or a complete beginner, the same deal applies.
2. Drink lots of water
You’re going to sweat. A LOT. So make sure you drink plenty of water beforehand and during the class.
3. Wear the right gear
Like we said, you’re going to sweat – so wear fitted gym gear so it doesn’t get caught in the pedals (no baggy pants). Make sure you have socks and we’ll give you a pair of cleated spin shoes to ride in. We have change rooms and lockers in all studios if you need to get changed before you RIDE.
1. High energy and a whole lot of fun
We don’t spin. We RIDE. Our range of classes are a high intensity, energy-filled workout with lots of fast movements and choreography and riding to the beat. It can take some time to pick up the moves – so all you need to focus on for the first class is riding on the beat, listening to the instructor and the rest will fall into place. (Trust the process – it will all be worth it).
2. Water. Weights. Towel.
Bring a water bottle, grab a towel and make sure you have weights before you start the class. Water and a towel can be purchased from reception and if you need them, ear- plugs are available on request (warning: it can get loud in the chamber). You’ll need a set of weights too. These are found on the bike or at the front of the RIDE chamber, but if you’re not sure where to look, the instructor will be there to help you RIDE.
1. Give yourself a high five
Hell yeah. You made it! Give yourself a high five, pat on the back and whip your towel in the air because you just com- pleted your first RIDE. Trust us – it gets better and better from here and you’ll soon realise why people become ob- sessed with Bodhi.
By the way, each studio has showers and change room facilities too (so you don’t have to drive home a sweaty mess).
2. Drink more water. Again and again.
We keep banging on about drinking water, but it’s SO im- portant, so drink up.
3. Obsessed with Bodhi?
Time to book your next class, tell the world how much you loved riding with us and get ready to get stronger, fitter and faster while connecting your mind to meaningful movement.
4. Rest up.
You deserve it. Don’t be surprised if you feel tired after your first class. Rest up, catch some sleep and get ready to do it all over again.
How should I prepare for the RIDE?
Drinks lots of water before the class and BYO water bottle. Good hydration is key to any workout! Wear comfort- able workout clothes and bring a change of clothes if you are taking a shower after class.
What time should I arrive?
New riders must arrive 20 minutes before the class for an induction. This ensures you have enough time to check in, become familiar with the studio and set up your bike to ensure a KILLER (and safe) RIDE with us! All other riders must be checked in AT LEAST 5 minutes before the class to be able to RIDE. We sometimes lock the door to the studio for the duration of the class, so arriving early is important.
It’s my first RIDE. What do I do when I arrive?
When you arrive at the studio, head to our reception desk. Our friendly team will introduce themselves, check you in and show you around our facilities. We will give you shoes, inform you of your bike number and set you up. At this stage, please inform us if you have any medical issues or injuries we should be aware of.
Do I need my own shoes?
We provide cleated shoes to wear during class. We use cleated shoes because they allow for greater stability and therefore a more productive workout. You can BYO, but please make sure they are SPD MTB compatible (we use mountain bike cleats).
Please note that there is a $2.50 rent fee for cleated shoes when attending via ClassPass.
Am I fit enough to RIDE?
We believe that every-body can take any of our All-Level classes regardless of their fitness level. Our RIDE XTREME classes should only be attended by regular, experienced Riders. We ask that you tell us about any health issues that you may have when you get to the studio, such as sensitivity to flashing lights (we use strobe lights), breathing difficulties such as Asthma (we use candles), and any injuries you may have, as well as being pregnant.
Is the Ride Chamber loud?
Our Ride Chamber is loud, but safe for your ears. If you are sensitive to loud noises, we offer earplugs at our front counter and in the Ride Chamber for free.
Will you help me set up my bike?
Absolutely! Our Instructors and FOH team will teach you how to set up your bike. If you have any questions about your bike, please don’t hesitate to ask us. Don’t be afraid to ask – that’s what our incredible instructors are here for.
Can I take photos?
YES – work it! Feel free to take photos, however we absolutely do not allow mobile phones inside the studio during class! This is the time to zone-out and disconnect from your text message and instagram newsfeed!
