SPIN CLASSES AMPED TO HAIRY NEW LEVEL WITH DISCO LIGHTS AND ‘HAIROGRAPHY’

CYCLISTS may be popping up all over the streets of Melbourne but they are also leading a new indoor exercise trend.

The soul cycle craze in the US has been the model for Melbourne corporate banker Michaela Fellner who teaches her special style of spin classes, known as Ride, featuring disco and hit music in a dark room with flashing lights.

“It’s like going to a nightclub,” Ms Fellner said.

“We have 20 different light scenes in a dark room, instructors who get off their own bike to offer encouragement without bossing and a lot of hair flicking `hairography’.
