ANDREA |
Mexico might be home, but Melbourne is where Andrea found her second home – with the Bodhi & Ride community. From the first time she entered the RIDE chamber in 2018, Andrea instantly fell in love with the energy of all the RIDERS and has loved it ever since. Previously, Andrea was a professional ballet and contemporary dancer, so you can expect plenty of challenging (but fun) choreography and a high-intensity workout that will guarantee you’ll feel that post-RIDE high. Her philosophy as an instructor is to make sure everyone enjoys every moment of the RIDE (no matter how hard it gets) and believes adding a smile into the mix makes everything so much better. |
JK |
Coming from a background in Musical Theatre, some would argue JK was born to be on the podium. With over 7+ years experience as a fitness instructor, one of her superpowers is having an eye to correct form and technique from a mile away – and she’ll never let you get away with sloppy technique! She’s also a firm believer that fitness is not just about physical strength, but your mental strength too. JK loves the feeling of riding together, embracing the different reasons we clip in, and is passionate about helping her riders find their inner badass, while feeling confident and strong as hell. When you RIDE with JK, you better be ready for a tonne of energy and banging heavy beats. |
KATE F |
Originally from country NSW, Kate swapped motorbikes for spin bikes when she moved to Melbourne (but still remains a country girl at heart). After completing a degree in Musical Theatre and performance, Kate found herself working as a Content Creator before discovering Bodhi & Ride while filming at our debut event (yup, we go waaay back!). At that moment, Kate fell in love with the energy of rhythm riding and decided to add ‘RIDE instructor’ to her skill set (adding to her existing background as a yoga instructor) and she’s never looked back! |
JESS |
If you’re looking for high-energy classes with plenty of encouragement to help you achieve what you set out to achieve, Jess is the name you need to look for on the schedule. After falling in love with rhythm riding three years ago during a snowboarding trip in Canada, Jess was so inspired that she decided it was time to step onto the podium. Her classes are filled with a little bit of EDM and a little bit of Beyonce, and her goal is to help every RIDER reach their limits. Outside of Bodhi, Jess fills her day by teaching P.E and English to high school students, plays soccer and loves to snowboard, surf, run, practice yoga – you name it! |
WEN |
Born and raised in Malaysia, Wen started riding over three years ago and instantly fell in love. She admits she was always passionate about health, wellness and fitness, but it wasn’t until a few years ago after stepping into her first every rhythm riding class that she really found her calling. Wen is known for her incredible moves that will have you breaking a sweat in and pushing yourself to your limits and also her fun (but killer) sprint sets in her classes. Her favourite thing about her RIDES is the chance to guide her RIDERS to find the motivation to get through a challenging class and loves the idea of turning the struggle and pain into power that makes a change for the better. RIDING is her idea of the perfect escape, and her love of pop, EDM, Hip Hop and K Pop is what gets her excited more than anything. |
GEMMA |
Gem might be all about having a good time and not taking yourself too seriously in life, but when it comes to her RIDES, it’s a whole different story – because when she clips in, she means business! Nothing makes her happier than a fast jog and a killer final sprint that makes you feel unstoppable and strong as hell. Gem admits to being the worst dancer on the d-floor, but when it comes to finding the beat and the right moves to match, she won’t let you down. After 45-minutes in the RIDE chamber together, you’ll feel ready to conquer the world – no matter if it’s your first RIDE or your 100th RIDE. |
CAITLIN |
If there’s one thing Caitlin is known for, it’s her FIERCE rides – but don’t let that scare you. As an instructor, Caitlin is all about supporting each person that walks into the chamber, pushing them to their limits and making sure they leave out feeling stronger than ever. She lives for the dark room and intensity of the RIDE chamber, and her classes are a mix of house, techno, hip hop, rap electro and deep house. Be warned: you should expect some seriously epic final tracks (just don’t be surprised when she says the final track is 6+ minutes…). Holding her Cert III and IV in Fitness, Caitlin is also mid-way through studying to be a Chiropractor. When she’s not in the chamber, you’ll find Caitlin at the beach or at the snow, or hanging with her golden lab, Tilly. |
EMILY |
Meet Emily, our unofficial pop-RnB-throwback QUEEN! Her journey as an instructor started at a studio in London before returning to home soil, and frequently refers to herself as a ‘spin junkie’. Emily’s mission as an instructor is to make sure she gives 45-minutes back to her RIDERS to switch off and do the damn thing – and most importantly, take time to say thanks to those bodies that work so hard. Expect lots of fun choreography, HUGE sprints and a few cheeky surprises along the way. |
AMANDA |
If a RIDE with Amanda doesn’t leave you sweaty and smiling, then we don’t know what will. Amanda became obsessed with rhythm riding over five years ago and has loved riding ever since! Her goal on the podium is to make sure her RIDERS leave feeling empowered and accomplished while making sure there’s always time between each track for a couple of laughs along the way. If you love heavy hill climbs, Aussie beats, dance, electronic and a few alternative tracks in the mix, then you’ll love RIDING with Amanda. |
NIKKI |
She might have a smile that can light up a room, but if there’s one thing Nikki is capable of, it’s making you feel the burn in ways you didn’t even know were possible. After spending the past 14+ years dancing aboard and teaching fitness classes in some of the world’s best studios, Nikki draws from her experience to make sure each RIDE is filled with movement that makes you feel empowered, strong and uplifted. Nikki is also a yoga teacher, certified health coach and a personal trainer, and knows how to make sure you get the most out of every single RIDE. |
MEL |
Back home in Cancun, Mel discovered that RIDING wasn’t just a fun activity to break a sweat – it was something she couldn’t live without, so she became an instructor in Mexico. Now, she gets to share her love of riding with the people of Melbourne while she’s studying as an Arts and Business student. Mel’s not afraid to help you push yourself to the next level – but will make sure you have fun each and every time. Mel’s favourite thing is to find unique beats while making sure to throw in a bunch of different moves. She lives helping each RIDER find that post-RIDE magic. |
GRANT |
Originally from the US, Grant first fell in love with Bodhi & Ride over three years ago and firmly believes there’s no better feeling than RIDING together as a tribe. His classes are all about embracing the moment for what it is and using the RIDE chamber as a chance to tune in, let go and ground yourself in something meaningful for your mind and body. When it comes to music, Grant loves EDM, Drum & Bass, Electrohouse and a bit of Trap. Outside of life on the podium, Grant is studying his Masters of Architecture and lists CrossFit, swimming and eating as his favourite activities. |
MICHAELA |
Five years ago our Founder Michaela swapped suits for activewear and says it’s one of her greatest decisions she’s ever made. After realising the corporate work environment wasn’t for her, she decided to instead devote her life to helping people unleash their potential and feel better about themselves physically, mentally and emotionally. After discovering a love of spin classes at a studio in London over 18 years ago, Michaela wanted to reinvent the wheel and take the RIDE experience to a whole new level. And that’s where Bodhi & Ride was born. You’ll find Michaela behind the front desks, delivering bikes to our at-home RIDERS or planning the next big thing for Bodhi & Ride. If you’re lucky, you might find her on the podium taking the occasional class. If you make it to one of her classes, get ready to be transported back to Michaela’s clubbing days and expect some serious Ibiza-style anthems. |
